Dale Pierce became a registered massage therapist in 2006. He had previously worked in computers, and he was a journeyman electrician. With massage, at the age of 53, he had finally found his calling. Following his massage training he took a two year program in Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® and in 2012 he completed his certification as a teacher. Dale also studied Reiki and took all four levels up to master practitioner.
He met his wife Angie in 2005 while working together at an acupuncture clinic. The two became friends immediately. In 2007, Dale joined Angie on her 40 acre horse farm. Dale always had a love for horses which grew stronger and stronger over time. Trail riding was the couple’s favorite pastime and in 2013 they began distance riding as a sport. In a matter of a few years the two had likely covered about 2,000 miles together on their beloved mounts, a pair of full brothers that Angie raised. They married in 2014 mounted on their beautiful white Arabians, JF Khosmic Connection a.k.a. Mo and JF Independantly a.k.a. Dude. Mo is steadfast, solid, charming, handsome and sometimes a bit stubborn… just like Dale. Dude on the other hand, is high strung, flighty, loving, pretty and sometimes a bit willful… just like Angie. Horses have always played an important role in Angie’s life, for over 10 years she has worked in equine-assisted therapy where horses (and other equines) assist people in understanding themselves more fully.
In the spring of 2015 the couple opened their own massage clinic in Edmonton, Alberta, realizing a dream that they’d shared for many years. At the end of 2015 Dale was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
